One of the most unique Sprintcar events on the 2026/27 calendar will headline Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway’s 50th Birthday celebrations, with the inaugural Clay-Per-View Golden Jubilee 50 Lapper set to roar into life across 23 & 24 April 2027.

Created to honour the rich history of the Charlton venue, the event turns the clock back to the way Sprintcar racing used to be, bringing back an old-school format that rewards consistency, racecraft and passing—not outright qualifying speed.

In a nod to the sport’s traditional roots, there will be no time trials or qualifying. Instead, competitors will contest two nights of draw-and-invert heat racing, with points accumulated across the weekend determining the starting order for Saturday night’s spectacular 50-lap feature race.

Adding to the nostalgia, the weekend will include Preliminary A and B Mains on Friday night before Saturday’s C Main, B Main and the Golden Jubilee 50-Lapper, where $10,000 awaits the winner as part of a prize pool exceeding $50,000.
