GOOD FRYDAY BURNOUTS hits Sydney Dragway TOMORROW

Here is everything you need to know on how the event works:

JUDGING:

Points are based on the following criteria:

- Instant Smoke - 10 pts

- Constant Smoke - 20 pts

- Volume of Smoke - 20 pts

- Driving Skill - 50 pts

-Failure to pop Tyres - 5 pts per Tyre

DNF If:

- Vehicle reverses, stops, hits a wall or fails to drive off the pad

- Fire marshal intervenes BEFORE both Tyres are popped

- Driver/passenger not wearing a seatbelt while vehicle is moving on the pad

- Driver touches the throttle from outside vehicle

No DNF if:

- Fire marshal intervenes AFTER both Tyres are popped

NOTE: These rules will be enforced in a way that ensure a fair, fun and safe competition for all competitors

Remember:

- No Alloy rims

- blower belt restraints required

- No Cracked windscreens

- No 'Skull cap' helmets

- All other burnout rules and regs apply

EVENT STRUCTURE:

Group Stage - All competitors get 1 skid during the group stages

Finals - The top 5 Pros, 5 Mods, 5 streets & 5 Young Guns will be selected to battle it out for top spot!

PRIZE MONEY:

Pro Class - 1st: $5,000

Pro Class - 2nd: $2,000

Pro Class - 3rd: $1,000

Mod Class - 1st: $1,500

Mod Class - 2nd: $750

Mod Class - 3rd: $500

Street Class - 1st: $750

Street Class - 2nd: $300

Street Class - 3rd: $200

Young Gun - 1st: Trophy

Young Gun - 2nd: Trophy

Young Gun - 3rd: Trophy

TIMES:

Competitor gate (Gate A) opens: 7AM

Spectator gate (Gate D) opens: 9AM

Rego/ Scrutineering opens: 7AM-2PM

Driver's briefing 9:15AM

Skidding from 10AM
